If you've just had a hard day at work and can't take it anymore, if you need to relax, well then I've got some good news for you.
A brand new British comedy has hit the silver screen last weekend: Kinky Boots. It's all in the name, British humor at its finest. In the same tradition as The Full Monty, this movie will knock laughs out of you.
Charles Price, a young man striken suddenly by his father's death, must take over the late man's business and literally walk into his shoes: the future of the Price Shoe factory depends on his sole actions.
As he starts downsizing the company, one of the employees (ravishing Sarah Jane Potts) points him out he's useless and unable to save his father's plant. Spurred from there, Charles finds a niche market in the erotic boots market, for ladies, gentlemen, and those who haven't quite decided yet.
This comedy brilliantly tackles yet another social issue in a very Ken Loach-like fashion. It's two thumbs up for director Julian Jarrold!
