Calendar and Comments management
As you can see in this sidebar we have a new item - a calendar that allows you to browse our posts throughout the ages… If you wish to add a calendar to your blog:
Login > Click Manage > Click Sidebar > Click New > Select Calendar and submit
We also launched a new comment management system where you can choose to moderate your blog’s comments or even detail who can comment:
- No one
- Everyone
- Only identified users (although emails are only visible to the blog’s author, in order to comment, readers have to supply their email address)
- Only Blog.com’s registered users (this is the base for an even more enhanced comment platform were your readers and commentators can truly authenticate theirselves, keep track of their comments and have a profile picture associated to their comments)
Hope you like these new features!!
Eeeeeeecelent~!
We r having a better and better blog.com~!
Haven’t you noticed that the dates on the calendar are wrong.. Looks like you have got 2007 calendar instead of 2006… June 1, 2006 is on Thursday not Friday…
Thanks
Susie,
Thanks for the notice, it is fixed!!
thumbs up for the calendar! would be even nicer if days that have posts would be further enhanced with a background color and if the current day showed in a different color too. After all, isn’t that what calendar are all about?
Thanks for the suggestions, we’ll work on that!!
The calendar is a very cool idea. But I just wanted to tell you I am using firefox and cant see the last column of the calendar…
Waldir, Thanks for the notice, it’s corrected now!
It’s been a wild ride recently with all the changes, and the rollercoaster just went up again!
I now find ANOTHER change in formatting of comments — now the commenter’s name is back at the bottom of the comment and again the wording is changed (to “Comment this”).
Will you PLEASE consider notifying us bloggers in advance of upcoming changes — probably by an e-mail to anyone volunteering to receive it?
Please?

Bill the diabetesdoc, Bill,
I’m sorry if the changes upset you. This last pass at comment formatting was the result of user input registered by the support team. As your blog is very comment-active, we used it to identify many of the new features that came to appear. You did fix most of what we later fixed for everyone by changing the blog CSS, hence the /wild ride/.
We know that changing existing features causes more disturbance than developing new stuff from scratch. We will try to notify these changes here on the blog.
THANK YOU BLOG.COM FOR ASSISTING ME ON ANY MATTER I HAD A PROBLEM WITH

Is there a checkbox so we can decide if we want the (Comment This) feature or not?
I find it confusing (in the eye).
rockordie, Sorry but we don’t have such an option.
Seems to me there is something wrong with the number 4. A little bigger than the other ones. Or is it just a matter of me and my browser? Anyway, thanks for the improvements again!

hello admin, are we allowed to change the Google Adsense code to ours?
Is this option available only for premium users? I cannot add any photos or pictures to notes.
The calendar is available in all plans.
As to the other question please contact http://support.blog.com/?group=blogs
Geoffrey Gonzalez, Yes, you can.
To do this you need to have a premium plan, remove our advertisement and insert your adSense code.
hi i am a new member to the blog.com can any one suggest me how to start.
Hi there, It would be nice if you could add ‘recent posts’ in the side bar too. And, may be, giving an option of two side bars, one on either side ! This will enhance the look as well as the contents can be distributed between the two sidebars
, Two good places to learn more about blogging would be:

Aman, That’s a good idea, I’ll pass your suggestion to our development team!
