Theme selection

Posted on 22. Jun, 2009 by Sérgio in Themes

The move to wordpress opens up the possibility for blog.com to draw upon the huge library of wordpress themes created by the wordpress community. We already have a selection of handpicked themes for you to use. However, we are as always open to your input. Please use this post comment section to tell us if there is a theme you particularly like and wish to have in your blog.

I think those them must b w3c validate. I am telling about the coding. Some of those are not correct, when we install those theme in our blog and after that just copy the code and put it into DREAMWEVER, it shows that some of those coding are wrong. Please tell something about this in your blog I am looking forward to see something about this topic in your next blog.

Hello, same question: are custom designs allowed, or only those featured in your library? Oh please please please allow customization!

    • ruijssantos 10 July 2009 at 3:12 pm #

At this moment, we can only offer the themes available in our library. Expect new themes really soon, with more customization options.

If you’re importing some of the Wordpress themes, I’d really like to see ‘Dusk’, ‘Jentri’, ‘Quentin’, Tarski, and especially ‘Sandbox’.

i miss in theme library something really clear and easy-to-read without design 3D photoshop effects -i miss aav1 (or karappo style or flow)

it would be good to have a chance to choose one from all official wordpress themes - in premium version you could choose 5 more ore something like that…

the small library of themes is the only thing on blog.com which makes me sad — and makes me to think about blogger.com :/

    excuse my english ;)

I would like so much if i can be able to change the colors of my walls and the photos of the header of my blog and all that kind of stuff about the aparience. I do have it like this at this moment because i do this beefore the migration. So i hope this features could be changeable again. I still thinking that i am so lucky for have it like this right now (i shoose blog.com because i can manege the aspect of the entire blog) but if this can be like that againg it will be really great. Some of us have an artist or designer soul into ours body. :-D Anyway, thanks for the chance… Blog.com rocks, guys.

  18. tberglund 1 September 2009 at 1:25 am #

p.neugebauer is right. It would really enhance your business if there were more themes to choose from.

  19. tcpipageek 10 September 2009 at 9:54 pm #

I’d like more themes to choose from or the option to design my own theme and upload it!

  20. oriental.darling 15 September 2009 at 1:49 pm #

Please make it possible to create or upload your own theme & template! I really don’t like the ones available at the moment..

  21. calebjoelfuller 23 September 2009 at 2:11 am #

More themes! More themes! More themes!

Or why not just allow people to upload custom wordpress themes? There are hundreds floating around on the web…

At the moment blog.com feels extremely limiting appearance-wise, especially when we see some of the beautifully designed blogs out there.

  22. eoko 26 September 2009 at 1:22 pm #

Though I want more themes. Is it more than enough if I ask that I could create or design my own themes in way of CSS maybe, or HTML edit perhaps.. Thank you for your hard work!

    ^^,

you have got the best term for promotion, that’s ‘blog’! but comparing the user-friendliness of blog.com, the gap is too big when compare with other available blogging sites.
