Scheduled downtime

Posted by Sérgio in 31. Jul, 2009, under Maintenance

Blog.com will go offline for a system upgrade next Sunday (August, 2). We will bring the systems offline at 23h00 UTC (Universal Time Coordinates) and expect to be offline for up to five hours. For reference, 23h00 UTC is:

  • 16h00 PDT (Pacific Daylight Time)
  • 19h00 EDT (Eastern Daylight Time)
  • 00h00 CEST (Western Europe Summer Time)
  • 01h00 CEST (Central Europe Summer Time)
  • 02h00 EEST (Eastern Europe Summer Time)
  • 07h00 China Standard Time
  • 08h00 JST (Japan Standard Time)

We are sorry for the inconvenience. We can’t possibly execute these tasks without stopping the whole system. Late sunday is the best timeframe to minimize the number of affected authors and readers, but even so many users will be affected. We are aware, and will do our best to be down as little time as possible.
