Switching data centers

Hi friends,

just wish to inform you that this Saturday, starting as 18:00 GMT, we are switching datacenters, so please expect a couple of hours of downtime.
After the change, we'll be sporting a new and improved internet connection, along with a sparking hot new server cluster.

Sorry for any inconvenience.

2 - Exactly. Are our image files going to show, or are we going to have to fix them ourselves?? (Comment this)

3 - Folks,

Every change comes with its glitches. Although we try to keep them minimal, there might still be some issues. Please let us know via the support website (support.blog.com) and we promise to solve them ASAP. (Comment this)

4 - NOTHING WORKS ANYMORE - since you switched servers

photos got deleted
no more email notification of comments
no more stats

the least you can do for paying customers is to give them a few months for free. after you fixed your system.

really sad. am a subscriber for just two weeks. but first the DNS got hijacked by your DNS provider nettica.com, now this.

how do you respond? (Comment this)

5 - Don't worry about re-uploading photos. We will move everything into place in the next couple of hours.

Photo syncing is the last remaining issue with the move. Stats for yesterday have already been generated; outgoing email service, suspended during the move, has also been reactivated.

Globally, the move was a success. We managed to do a datacenter relocation with a downtime of less than three hours. The primary service came up ok. We were aware that secondary services would be restarted only on monday (sorry for not including that info in the previous heads-up). Were it not for the lag in resyncing photo storage, and the operation would have been perfect.

Thank you all for the patience. Report any problems to support.blog.com. They'll take care of everything. (Comment this)

6 - Yay! The images are working now! Great job, blog.com team! :D I've been a subscriber for almost a year now, and I'm very satisfied with your service. I've also been around the net for almost 10 years, so I do have patience and understanding when it comes to things like site management. Don't let the n00bs & younguns get you down, they'll learn. Meanwhile, keep on building a fabulous site! :D (Comment this)

7 - hi bistromath captain

tks for your answer, but my images are still not working yet. on the photo-edit-page there are just black squares instead of the images.

I take your advise and will report the problem a third time to support.blog.com

counting on you and tks again for the great blog-service -

10 - Dears,

I am just wondering why most of pages in the site are not localized to farsi.
Only the registration page is partly localized to farsi!
What's the matter?
Is there version-problem or some thing like that?
I will send both farsi translated files again which I'd prepared, hoping to help you in these regards.

With best wishes,
